Americans Split in Three Over Iraq War

That sounds painful, but not as painful as "Iraqis Blown to Bits In American Invasion"

The opinion of the "middle third" (gradual withdrawl after training the Iraqis) will probably win the day. I suspect that the large mass of American troops will be out of Iraq by the end of 2007 or early 2008.

The interesting thing about that poll is that it does not in the least reflect the opinion of either the US Congress or Senate, or for that matter, the major media. The "bring them home now" third of the US is essentially invisible.
