Everybody knows how Newt Gingrich, hypocrite extraordinaire, served divorce papers on his ill wife in a hospital bed just after she got out of surgery, and has a roving eye, even as he excoriated Bill Clinton over a blow job.

Everybody knows that Rush Limbaugh, that nasty little drug-addicted bastard, buying oxy by the truckload, was trashing drug dealers as long as they were black and dealing cocaine instead of white and dealing oxy.

But it seems that Republicans just can't stop throwing stones when they've got glass houses all over the place. I give you...

Republican Sex Offenders

Schadenfreude, to be sure, but, it is very amusing to see them, as Shakespeare once said, "hoist on their own petard".

Wow. I hadn't heard about the latest guy, who was caught in a pedophile sting. Unbelievable!

quote:
According to authorities, Atchison made contact with a detective working undercover for the Macomb County Sheriff's department's.

The detective, acting as the child's mother, allegedly arranged a sexual encounter between Atchison and her 5-year-old daughter, police said.

In deposition, detectives said Atchison suggested the mother tell her daughter that "you found her a sweet boyfriend who will bring her presents."

The undercover detective expressed concern about physical injury to the 5-year-old girl as a result of the sexual activity. Detectives said Atchison responded, " I am always gentle and loving; not to worry, no damage ever, no rough stuff ever. I only like it soft and nice."

The undercover detective asked how Atchison can be certain of no injury. He responded, "Just gotta go slow and very easy. I've done it plenty," according to detectives.

As much as I am against capital punishment for any reason, more and more I turn to thoughts of setting these monsters on fire as a first gut reaction to this horror. But no, reasoned afterthought leads me to conclude that only forced castration with a zigsaw is the appropriate measure.

Larry Craig continues to chew his foot well

quote:
(CNN) -- Sen. Larry Craig on Thursday said he was not resigning from the Senate despite a Minnesota judge denying his request to withdraw his guilty plea stemming from his arrest in a sex sting at an airport men's room.

Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, sought to withdraw his guilty plea stemming from a sex sting in an airport restroom.

"I am extremely disappointed with the ruling issued today," Craig said in a statement. "I am innocent of the charges against me. I continue to work with my legal team to explore my additional legal options."

I thought it was actually somewhat embarrassing the way he so transparently tried to get out of being busted for soliciting gay sex, especially when the police officer didn't back him up on the whole "oh, I was looking for a piece of paper" thing.
