I went to university with a guy from Singapore, who was a closeted gay man. He had to return to Singapore for compulsory military duty, so he was terriffied to come out.

He went back home, and served for awhile, but he ended up committing suicide. I don't KNOW that it was because of the government laws, but I certainly suspect it was.

Singapore is a fucking hole, run by a criminal despot.
