I see why the link doesn't work. In the URL there's a colon followed by an upper case letter "D" and on this board when you do that it creates a smiley face like this

Anyway, the link does work from the MfD site because that BBS software isn't setup to do the smiley face thing.

Anyway the article does make some very valid points. CUPE, like many other unions is trying to come to grips with a new communications medium. In that sense, they're no different than any other union in Canada that I'm aware of...with perhaps the notable exception of the CBC strikers...I thought they did an exceptional job...but then...they're in the communications biz.
