Menopause the Musical

quote:
This ode to aging, hot flashes, angry outbursts, inexplicable sobs and female bonding may be the most popular show in Las Vegas at the moment, with every performance selling out almost as soon as tickets become available.

The Las Vegas show description seems to relie heavily on stereotype but I have seen it done in a feminist vein. Quebec's very own grande dame of stand-up comedy, Clémence Desrochers - of whom I was graced to be a writer 3 1/2 decades ago - had a very moving and very funny show about menopause in 1989 entitled "J'ai show!" Pee ran down the aisles, as I fondly recall.
