The "Republican" convention circus on the other hand executes the investiture of Mr. McCain -- but McCain suffers a heart attack or a stroke a week after the event.
The financial meltdown continues its downward spiral.

Ewww... What a mess. It likely won't happen, though - at some point depending on what happens in the primaries the Democrat movers and shakers will give Clinton or Obama an offer they can't refuse. It's also unlikely John McCain will have such an inconvenient heart attack. The market meltdown? Yeah, that's going to continue.
