And this is where the so-called neutralists and "Liberalists" believe they are non-partisan in their political views and are not. No one is apologizing for Stalin or Kim Jong-Il. But there are some of us who simply believe that history could have been avoided entirely. So far they haven't provided any alternative "world views" where a corporatocracy did not aid and abet the rise of Adolf Hitler. And they still want to be able to condemn Fidel Castro without having the CIA's dirty laundry in Central and Latin America thrown at their feet. I repeat, it doesn't work that way. Fidel and Patrice Lumumba looked to the west for support first before western world leaders turned their backs.

And Korean leaders didn't just up and decide to turn inward one day for no apparent reason. To not acknowledge the why's and facts surrounding historical events of the last century is rather quite biased toward certain facts over less conventient ones for the sake of personal political expediency.

People here prefer to skip over the historical details and move directly to name-calling and virtual lynching. It doesn't work that way. You have to possess a fair to good understanding of the historical facts before jumping to conclusions.

Do you or do you not condemn Stalin, Kim Il Sung, Mao Tse Dung and Pol Pot without reservationa without trying to make excuses for their behaviour?

No. If you guys want to discuss this, the new thread will not start with a nasty post from the previous thread.

Try again.
