Interesting indeed, ah the French and the Dutch.

quote:
TODAY WE WERE EXECUTED. BUT WE WILL RISE.

Today (9 November), our party, the Vlaams Blok, has been condemned to death. This afternoon, the Belgian Supreme Court upheld the verdict, issued by the Court of Appeal in Ghent on 21 April, which declared the Vlaams Blok a criminal organisation. In order to preserve our party members from prosecution, we are now forced to disband. What happened in Brussels today is unique in the Western world: never has a so-called democratic regime outlawed the country's largest political party.

The Vlaams Blok was supported by almost 1 million voters in last June's elections. We got 24.1% of the vote in Flanders, where 60% of the Belgian population lives. Voting is compulsory in Belgium and no other party was supported by more people. Our party has grown continuously for two decades. Since 1987, it has won twelve consecutive elections in a row. Belgium, established in 1830 by French revolutionaries, is an artificial construct dominated by the Socialist Francophone minority in Wallonia. Our party's main objective is the secession of Flanders from Belgium. Flanders is the free-market oriented Dutch-speaking and politically minorised northern part of the country....

Harper wants a crackdown on racists and antisemites? I approve of that.

No IMHO, Harper and the CPC more stand for the campaign of hatred that is talked about, in the article, than being a voice of goodness and sanity that you speak of.

What are some of the examples which qualify hatred from our party?

Preserving the freedom to worship in Canada, Allowing people to express freedom of speech, giving our military funding, lowering our taxes, not believing that if you don't believe in the left wing dogmatism that you aren't Canadian. BTW, please give me some evidence that Harper wanted to do something hateful.

Um, you meant "preserving the 'right' to call for the murder of homosexuals" -- although the gutless wonder backed down on that one during the election campaign and promised not to repeal C250.

And let's not forget his belief in marital apartheid.

I wanted hard facts, proof not BS. If you see preserving the right to worship as the same as a call to kill homosexuals then you are a moron.

Does anyone else think it's ironic that someone
who spouts off meaningless emotion-laden phrases like "preserving the right to worship" is calling for hard facts?

Here's a cold hard fact: Right Tory is an idiot, (and a moron).

Please provide any evidence that any of these rights are threatened, that the military is not funded, that taxes are too high, amd that lefty-wing dogmatism dominates. Thanks, diddums.
