They are investigating me for my actions during the 2004 election. I can't get much more into it, other than to say what I did was done in order to expose one of the many flaws in our electoral system, which is broken at best. I was able to find the investigators manual online quite easily, but the MAC I am using at work will not let me download or view the file. I was hoping someone could post Chapter 11, which deals with their interviewing techniques. I would be very grateful. This is the link...

Your link doesn't work.

This link should point to the document. I've looked at it in the past, but it doesn't seem to be working today.

There's also a backgrounder on their website, and it is working.

In any case, I don't see how anybody posting a PDF that you can't read would be helpful. Or why anyone would be encouraged to help by a request that contains so little information.

Why should we help someone who just admitted to vote fraud?

Ah!! Revenue Canada often hears that excuse from corporate tax evaders. "But I was just exploiting that loophole, not for personal gain, but to expose the flaws in the system ..." Whatever.

Right...well if you want to ask me what happened instead of merely jumping to your own fictional conclusions I would be happy to share.

The interview went well. The investigator noted that what I did did not affect election results and I am now working with a Federal MP as well as Elections Canada to try and find a quick (an likely inexpensive) way to ammend the Act itself.

So if I was being Cloak and Dagger it was due to confidentiality, but to compare me to a tax evader is disrespectful and complete nonsense.

You won't tell us what Elections Canada is investigating, but you want our advice? How can anyone possibly help you without knowing the specifics of the case? This is silly.

Let the speculation begin, I say:

The only investigation I could find on Elections Canada's site with regard to the most recent election is the following:

Fraudulent E-mail Circulating Regarding Election Day

quote:
The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Jean‑Pierre Kingsley, has received reports of an e-mail being sent with the Elections Canada logo, and bearing his name and title, telling electors they can vote over a two-day period. This message does not come from Elections Canada, and is against the law. Anyone having information identifying the source of the message should contact the Commissioner of Canada Elections at Elections Canada as noted below.

Firstly, I first requested help opening a link. Secondly, who said anything about fraud? Third - what the hell is wrong with asking me something specific before negative or accusatory statements are made.

During the 2004 federal election I was able to successfully receive 15 ballots. I voted just once. They went from investigating me to asking me for my assistance in finding a way to make this kind of activity impossible for upcoming elections. It is the same thing as a hacker who receives a job opp. after hacking into a bank's computer.

I hope this clears up and misunderstanding people may have about this situation. And before anyone tries to say that I was not giving enough info when I originally posted this topic, I was unable to due to confidentialty. Now that the interview is over I am able to say more. Again, I originally just needed help opening a link.

And briguy, can please direct me to where I asked for anyone's "advice". I can't seem to find it.

You left the door open to speculation. Now that we know which case you are talking about, we can better point you in the right direction. That's all. Well, I can't point you in any direction, but surely somebody can.

Ok ... so why is it worthy of discussion, when you wouldnt initially give any details about it, and then criticize people for having to come up with their own conclusions (when you wouldn't initially give any details about it). Youre not a self-wallowing in shit Conservative are you (is there any other kind though?)
