The discussion of Cuba's electorial process has been going on strong for awhile now, on the following link. Keep up the dialogue.

They sure could do with some free and fair elections in Burma, and Mexico, and Haiti, and El Salvador, and Guatemala, and Afghanistan, and Iraq, and Florida, and Ohio, and ...

Fidel, please stick to the topic of why nothing else in the world matters until Cuba returns to it's former colonial status.

Democracy has nothing to do with this!

Glen Roberts is a retired American journalism professor. Over the last 20 years, he has travelled extensively and sometimes lived in Mexico and Central America. He has visited Cuba at least half a dozen times and written about it on his website, http://www.iammyownreporter.com .

In April, 2005 he wrote three reports ("letters") from Cuba, which I highly recommend to anybody looking for a balanced viewpoint of someone who has actually spent time in Cuba talking to ordinary people and comparing what they have to say with the official government version of how Cuban society works and the anti-Cuba propaganda promoted by the MSM:

Human Rights in Cuba

Viva y Habla Fidel!

Elections in Cuba
