FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEFormer federal NDP candidate Dana Larsen today announced the opening of a new Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary in Vancouver.
Larsen is the former editor of Cannabis Culture Magazine and a co-founder of the Vancouver Seed Bank, which sells seeds for marijuana as well as for other rare and medicinal plants. Larsen resigned as an NDP candidate in the recent federal election after the media played 10-year old videos showing him smoking pot and taking LSD.
"This Dispensary is for legitimate medical marijuana patients only," said Larsen. "We require a statement of diagnosis and a doctor's letter before we can accept a new client."
There are already two other medical marijuana outlets in Vancouver. The largest is the BC Compassion Club Society, which has over 4000 clients and has been operating without any legal problems for over 11 years.
"We don't expect any problems from police or the city," added Larsen. "We are a legitimate operation serving clients with a clear medical need for marijuana products."
The Vancouver Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary is located at 880 East Hastings St, and is open daily from 2-7pm.
