This article advocates sparing more than just a little change.

Ohh!! Oh, I love it! This is right up my alley. I don't often have change, and I never see homeless people where I live, at least not begging ones, so I can't do exactly as this article says.

But, I do always help people with the knowledge I can share. I can't count how many websites I've done or how many people I've taught to do it themselves, all for free. It's not quite the same, I know, but it still makes my day to make someone else's.

Freedom from the money is lovely, too. I gave $10 to a collection for a girl with cancer the other day. The collector asked if I wanted $5 back, and I almost said yes, and then thought, "how greedy am I???" nd said, nope, she needs it so much more than I ever would. If I'd had more than the $10, she'd have that, too. It felt really nice to give even that little bit.

I highly recommend helping others; there are currencies other than dollars and cents
