Back in October, the feds busted a long-time prostitution service in the Washington, D.C. area. The madam, Jean Palfrey, soon caught attention by telling a reporter.....she's now apparently mulling selling her phone records from the last thirteen years to raise funds for her defense.

Palfrey, whose assets were seized by the IRS back in October, has launched a website, deborahjeanepalfrey.com, to solicit contributions. But if that doesn't bring in enough, "consideration is being given to selling the entire 46 pounds of detailed and itemized phone records for the 13 year period, to raise the requisite defense funds," according to the website.

Ha! That's pretty funny. I mean, it's blackmail and kind of low, but those big boys in Washington can afford it.

If you look at the sample page you can see that some phone numbers have already been blacked out.

Probably those are the numbers she'd be selling them for. Apparently she's got a congressman on her list and that's the number that will bring home the bacon if she sells the records.

Guess he'd better cough up!

I fully support her doing this, by the way. Let those slimy little creeps in Washington pay through the nose if they're going to keep laws on the books making the prostitutes they use illegal.

I don't see why the customers shouldn't also be made responsible for paying for the defence, as well.

This thread should be closed immediatly so we can talk about Al Gores plumbing bills.

Her name was Ginger. Mostly she was a dancer, but occassionally when she was short on cash she would do tricks. She confessed to me that she had her first sex fantasy while dancing at Filmores in Toronto. The relationship didn't really go anywhere, and eventually she moved to Lyndsey and had a kid.

I see here every blue moon and we play chess.

At 24, you only think you are having sex. Really, you should be playing chess, for all the good you are doing your partner.

I didn't realize the Mr./Mr. thing categorically ruled out "picking up" on Babble, or that would be "weird," so to speak.

Warning: This post is a trap. Do not respond.

I'm a big ole sinner!

quote:
Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) apologized last night after his telephone number appeared in the phone records of the woman dubbed the "D.C. Madam," making him the first member of Congress to become ensnared in the high-profile case.

The statement containing Vitter's apology said his telephone number was included on phone records of Pamela Martin and Associates dating from before he ran for the Senate in 2004.

What a shock, that it turns out to be a church-goin' Repugnican family values kinda guy!

Go Palfrey!

Bump!

BTW, I think it's funny that it was Hustler Magazine that caused Vitter to come forward and apologize. They beat out ABC and the other "real" news stations on this story.

Couldn't have happened to a nice guy, either. He's a real piece of work, this guy - total Moral Majority type. It's always nice to see these guys get spanked.

Well, there are some of us who get sexually excited by things regarded by the mainstream as "taboo." So it stands to reason that a religious fascade, or even true belief, could put an edge on the excitement.

It's this aspect that could be the only thing that could ever attract me to religion.

In a related thread, Jeff House asked for opinions on Republican kinkyness. It seems this Madam had a lot of Republican customers that liked to be restrained, whiped/spanked and humiliated by being made to wear women's clothes.

It comes as no surprise-- and no judgement on the sexual details-- to me.

Typically, people who feel they are in control in their "real life" tend towards the opposite end in their fantasy life. Cops, Judges, scions of business would probably gravitate to the submissive end, while people who don't feel they are in control of thier "real life" would gravitate to the dominant end of the scale in the BDSM scene.

But not always, though. There are many different types of relationships. I'm speaking generally.

The fact that politics attracts control freaks and those who feel they are marginalized by the political system might also mean that there are more kinksters per square foot in politics than one might find in other fields of endeavor or interest.

Having attended more than one or two BDSM parties, I can say that whatever one's perception of couples that enter, it's, um, bound, to be turned on it's head later in the evening.

Sometimes literally.
