Just wondering if anyone might want to comment on this study:

SWEAT STUDY

Sounds sexist to me, and manipulative too. Making women inhale distilled male armpit sweat is just plain wrong.

What I'd like to know is, how the hell do they collect "distilled male armpit sweat"?

On second thought, I'm not sure I want to know.

This sort of reminds me of the study we disussed a while ago that said another male bodily excretion was relaxing to women. So we not only have to actively seek sexual action but with a guy who's just been working out. Very sexist.

Apparently they collected the armpit sweat with cotton pads which were then distilled in ethanol and squeezed out. I read it in a paper yesterday. What disturbs me is that the study participants were not told until later what they were applying under their noses. Disgusting!

Well, that's not so bad. I had visions of men being strapped down and having giant suction cups attached to their 'pits.

There's an obvious way to even things out: do another study where men sniff "distilled female armpit sweat".

Of course, then you'd end up with a lineup of armpit-fetishizing perverts stretching around the block...

Um, where's all the sexism? Is it sexist that they didn't test the effects of sweat on men's menstrual cycles or something??

Ya cause those menstrual cycles make us all weird and freaky and only something coming out of the advanced male species could help us.

Here's a study, how about studying the effect of female secretions on male intelligence

Hm. The article suggests the information gleaned from the study may help manage PMS. I'm not sure that implies that women become "weird and freaky" because of their cycle. Don't women who suffer from PMS want better treatments for it?

And if the gender of the researchers has you wound up, I'm sure that somewhere there are female scientists studying prostate cancer to balance the chi of the universe and all. Sheesh.
