why couldn't it attack Canada for her water, on REAL "national security" issues? All it would take is two particularly dry summers in a row in the corn belt, and we'd be expected to what? Bargoon away water?
Based on the soft-wood lumber deal, I don't like our chances.
So should we then simply 'give' water to the U.S.? after the soft-wood debacle?
And would they even hesitate for a second, given the Bush administration's propensity for "with us er agin' us" pre-emptiveness, to just march in and start sucking water from sources they considered to be "excess Canadian water"?
Or (which is even more intriquing), why wouldn't they, under the new North America security cooperation "agreement", just send in the Mexican Army to do their sucking for them ('cause, sure as shootin' Mexico's gonna need water too)?
