If you want to only discuss a topic from one point of view, then what is the point? Kind of like clapping with one hand, isn't it? Usually discluding other points of view is done either because you are afraid of what the other people have to say, or you don't care. Either way, it isn't a very flattering postion to take. Jen

Aside from differences in political opinion, there are differences in depth of the issue. Like the argument about domestic violence. We can argue about who abuses whom more. Or we can look at the issue in depth -- which I believe would be interesting to everyone. As an insider I know of many interesting details, which most people who just read about it would not even guess.
I also hanve some disagreement with both feminists and conservatives on issues in forensic psychology. Conservatives see every criminal as evil. Feminists have deep understanding of female offenders' pain. I can see pain in offenders of either gender.

Both are interesting issues. How about finding a better forum than this one within babble to start discussion on them?

Do any feminists have a point of view on this cocktail recipe, the Feminist?

I'm not a rum fan but I'd give it a try. Black russians get old fast.

Any theories on why it's called 'the Feminist'?

Is it the ginger ale?
I hope it's not fattening. After all, before we sit down and discuss exciting and controversial topics in much finer ways, I have to make sure I still fit into my dress.
