BCGEU is supportive too.I just wrote an e-mail to [email protected]: quote: To Whom It May Concern:I was dismayed to learn today about your company’s lockout of members of IBEW 213 in your British Columbia stores. I have a Sears right around the corner from my workplace (at the Eaton Centre in Toronto) and I usually do some of my holiday shopping there. But as a unionized worker myself, I expect any place that receives my hard-earned money to treat their own hard-working employees with respect. I suggest that you get to the table with IBEW 213 and make a reasonable offer, and end this lockout. No wage increases, decreased vacation time, and unpaid overtime is not a reasonable offer. If you plan to lock out your workers over the holidays, I’m certainly not going to spend my holiday shopping money at your store. Sincerely, etc.
