Yep that is one of the inherent dangers about volunteering for our military.

I think this may have been yet another PR con job. Jessica Lynch II.

The first story was "killed by enemy fire". Now the Army reports that he was killed by "friendly fire" while a firefight was going on.

But the Afghans say there was no enemy fire at all.

So maybe he wasn't a hero who fought and died for his country, but a fellow whose misplaced ideals caused him to get shot when his own troops panicked, shooting wildly at anything that moved.

OF course, the administration prefers the hero, but how much reason is there to believe THEM?
