Fortunately, thanks to the power of the internet, which he did not live to see come to fruition, the party has been moving somewhat in his direction. It's telling that Lieberman, who was the party's candidate for VP in '00, now sits as an independent "Democrat." And there's a decent chance that the Democrats can recapture Wellstone's seat, possibly with Al Franken.
