Ironically it was on Valentine's Day: quote: A federal appeals court issued a Valentine's Day ruling upholding an Alabama law banning the sale of sex toys. But the devices won't disappear from store shelves immediately. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Alabama's sex toy ban is constitutional because "the state's interest in preserving and promoting public morality provides a rational basis for the challenged statue." The new ruling, made public Thursday, was issued by a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit. Novelty store owner Sherri Williams can ask the full court to review the case and, if rejected, appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 1998, the Alabama Legislature enacted a law that bans the sale of sex toys, but not their possession.

"'chitty chitty bang bang' we love you" quote: Originally posted by Sandy47: Anything can be a sex toy. According to P.J. O'Rourke..."There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Mercedes-Benz 450SL." If that's true, maybe the vehicular traffic on Alabama's highways and byways will start to look more '19th century' in the near future.
