Hello all,

Former Wall Street Journal reporter Asra Nomani, who covered the Afghan war for Salon.Com and who organised the first ever Women-led Muslim Friday prayers in New York last month, is coming to Toronto.

Asra Nomani, who has also led a movement to make mosques open to women, will be reading from her new book, "Standing Alone in Mecca," in Toronto next week.

Her speaking out against the Muslim fundamentalists has made her many enemies. Could people in the Toronto area come out and stand by her movement.

Her talk is sponsored by the Toronto Women's Bookstore and the Muslim Canadian Congress.
