Good excuse for "Two-tier Tony", but he didn't know anyone in Parry Sound Muskoka either. The "famous" Conservatives never parachute people lie. People up there can't figure out how the hell he won this riding. They really liked Andy Mitchell, who did fantastic job for the area. I mean a really well liked rep.Guess Tony the privatizer printed up lots of ballot ID cards and moved as many supporters north as he could find to vote for him (good use for Conservative buses). Was a huge deal about cheating in Harris elections. A York University professor produced incredible proof of cheating in 2nd Harris election, was on the news about it at the time, but suddenly the professor was silenced. I mean he was shut right up. Guess he learned the hard way how power-crazed Conservatives "shut their critics" right up.
But Tony Clement, John Baird, and Jim Flaherty sure would have known how to "win" their seats, regardless of what the voters might have wanted. It just seems unthinkable that anyone in Ontario would have voted for Clement again. Just not believable.
But Clement is not the only one in the Harper Party who want to PRIVATIZE the entire healthcare system. So far I haven't heard of a single Conservative who doesn't want to bust public healthcare.
Harper committed to fund "profitizers all over the country" on the public purse in his morning healthcare announcement during election, on CPAC. He said following the "rogue Kirby report" road map to privatization, logical way to go. Harper said "can still use your health card". But for how long? Jerk thinks he can do this, and heard complaints from some nurses this is already starting. Was on the news 2 nights ago. Harper Cons are doing it.
Why did the media not put this on any of the election newscasts to inform the public? Seems like Harper was not just the "unquestioned", only perfect candidate in this election, his extreme policies, phoney tax cuts, and running big deficits were never repeated during Prime time or any other time to inform voters. Something smells bad about this election, and what's worse now Harper says he is "going ahead with his mandate". WHAT mandate? He got 124 seats, nearly the lowest minority ever, at least that can remember. Maybe the lowest minority in history.
Harper says today he will "keep the power in the PMO", and not implement the Gomery findings, which means he can do a hell of a lot without ever informing parliament. And a guy like Harper will do plenty, as fast as he can in secret from the PMO, just as Harris did in the Premier's office, and there will be no news coverage, just like they "covered everything Mike Harris did", no news until "after he left office", and only on the 10:00 am radio announcements. We're in big trouble, and this bodes badly for next election, as Harper will get a majority, media will aim very hard to make it happen.
Remember, it is the PMO, and his princes in that office who enforce the Canada Health Act. Soon we'll have only a "1-teir health system", and that will be "all private". You won't see a difference right away. After a while of running the privatizers and the public care off the same public purse busts the treasuries of every province. Give it about 3 to 4 years, and it will be bye-bye public, hello American owned healthcare system. Then you will be paying for those who put this bugger Conservative Party in office.
Those liars who said "give Harper a minority" won't do any harm, were a pack of thieving manipulators.
Know this, the environics larger than normal post-election poll, next day after the election said that only 15% (41% of 36.5%) Conservative voters actually voted for Conservative agenda. What a disaster this election turned out to be. Worst result ever. 54% of those who voted for Conservatives voted for "change", which is ridiculous, since their number one concern was healthcare, and only 10% of all voters thought ethics was an issue, and only 3% picked crime/law and order?
so we got Harper because people didn't bother to find out what he was offering, or just said, "oh let's have a change today". This is really unsettling.
