IN response to the recent cuts to the Status of Women Canada (instituted by Harper's Conservative government) including

- a 5 million dollar cut to the Status of Women's budget

- removal of the word "EQUALITY" from the Status of Women's

mandate (and so an eradication of the feminist agenda)

What we are asking : that women send us written submissions for a zine we are putting together about the changes (including history and resistance).

We are asking for your reactions (hopes, fears, anger) to the changes and that you submit any art or potential projects that we could publish in our little zine. By "Little" zine, nothing is too small so don't feel paralyzed by perfection (even sentence is great!)

Has the Status of Women of Canada affected your life? Do you remember life before the Status of Women? Tell us about it.

Who we are: Rose and Anna, two feminist, white, straight, able-bodied Canadian Masters of Social Work students at Carleton University (so we need lots of different perspectives!!!!) who care deeply about the quality of women's lives through out the world and who need to do something to resist the cuts.

What else: We are in a time crunch. The term ends in December and we need to have our zine done! Please submit before Nov 14th
