Votorola is a non-profit, open-source project. We are applying for funding under the Knight News Challenge. Please help us win!

quote:
Votorola is software for hosting open, continuous elections. It implements an independent electoral system with primaries that cut across party divisions, and general elections that are outside of government control. It enables people to join with their neighbours in promoting leaders for the local community, in nominating candidates for public office, and in drafting and supporting plans, policies and legislation. The technical backbone of Votorola is a delegate-cascade voting mechanism that is open to recasting. Its voter lists are authenticated by a community trust network.
