I suggest "Tory-lite", cause "I wanted to be the leader (candidate) for the PCs but I didn't win the nomination and so found someone who would let me run under their banner" is too long to fit on a ballot and still be legible.

I have tried to think of a single issue where the Liberals have led the discussion in this province and frankly I cannot think of one -- the usual response is something along the lines of "this requires further study". Unlike their federal counterparts, they don't even have the good sense to try and steal planks from the NDP or the Greens.

If we had caps on corporate donations, they would have disappeared into bankruptcy a couple of elections ago (I guess they are the vanguard of the Liberal brand in that respect).

I guess it gives the MSM something to write about.

Heh, you're definately right bk... The Liberals here fail to provide an alternative beyond 'I really like Alberta' (go Taft). I'd like to see them rename/rebrand and come out with some much more ambitious ideas for next election... Might be a lil easier to sell to the public.
