Why isn't New York considered the world's most multicultural city? It has a larger population and in terms of international relations and finance, it's 100 times more important than Toronto, so It does seem rather odd that the Big Apple didn't beat us when it came to grading multiculturalism. How do they decide these things anyway?

By the variety of languages spoken and countries people are from. Toronto is slightly ahead, if I recall correctly

How much is "slightly ahead"?

New York is in the "great melting pot" ... they would never admit to being really multicultural even if they are.

Yeah, I'm betting that Toronto goes more out of its way to provide official services in many languages, too, although I don't know for sure since I'm not overly familiar with NYC.
Mohamad Khan would know, since he's lived in both cities!
