Anyone else see the recent new stories on CHMCs involvement with Dream Homes in China.
Looks like Canadians will be building new Rosedales for the new Chinese elite with oversized North American style single family houses. Is it just me, or does this seem horribly wrong?
Why is CHMC involved with this when we're facing serious housing problems at home?

This CBC column discusses the phenomenom of gated communities in China. Governments definately should not be funding this trend, in particular the CMHC. It looks like this is just a forestry business promotion scheme.
Why am I not surprised to see this guy involved?

Sadly, the federal government stopped funding permanent housing solutions in Canada in 1994.

Wow, that's alarming. Why is CMHC spending even $5 or 5 minutes on overseas projects?

More proof that those who oppose Leung Kwok-hung's agenda for Hong Kong are reich-wing sleezebags who should get the fuck out of the NDP.
