SAN FRANCISCO, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Bidding for lunch with Warren
Buffett will end tomorrow night. With a listed value of "priceless," this
auction item is already going for over $60,000 with a full day of bidding left
to go. Bidders are vying for an intimate lunch for eight in New York City
with a man who is widely considered the greatest stock market investor of
modern times. Buffett will donate the proceeds to Glide Foundation, the
largest social service provider in San Francisco.
San Francisco Bay Area residents will have a chance to win lunch for eight
with Mr. Buffett in San Francisco by bidding live or via cell phone at
tomorrow's Best of the Bay Area 2003 event, put on by San Francisco Magazine
and benefiting Glide Foundation. The event will be held on Thursday from 7pm
to 9pm at the Concourse Exhibition Center. Tickets will be available at the
door. Those interested in bidding by proxy via cell phone can call
415-674-6060.
As head of Berkshire Hathaway and owner of other notable businesses,
Warren Buffett is a living legend who earned a reputation as a master
businessman based on his strikingly successful investment strategies. Mr.
Buffett says "I've admired Glide's work for many years. Participating in this
