Well, the sweet little love-child came in handy in that respect.

In French-language gossip magizines, little Alexandre Costes is headlne news: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Coste - a Métis, and such a cute little boy (awww...) just that little modern touch, that at the same time confirm's Albert's straight status...

Who knows? Who cares? Just hope the cute little kid is happy.

Just because he has fathered a child is *no* guarantee of what his sexual orientation is at all. I have a number of gay friends who have sons and/or daughters.

As for the thread title...

quote:
There is no such thing as an illegitimate child. Only illegitimate parents.

— George Bernard Shaw

Heph, I certainly agree. Just talking about the antediluvian mentality in the rather virtual House of Grimaldi.

Well, he may never inherit the throne but having your own Wikipedia entry before you're even two years old is quite an achievement.

When did Shaw write that? I thought I wrote it. But I see that it is attibuted to a decision by Judge Leon R. Yankwich, June 1928, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, in Zipkin v. Mozon, quoting jurist O.O. McIntyre, and later paraphrased by U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas. Although Dear Abby also wrote it.

Albert may have made some very illegitimate choices but there is nothing illegitimate about the life of any baby.

So who thinks if the child would be heir to the throne if his mother had been white?

Well, they don't seem to be spelling out why Rainier was so disapproving of the relationship so I'm assuming that no one wants to paint him as a racist.
