Dear Ms. Communicate,

Say you were an activist progressive and now are an elected representative, maybe in a Legislature, Parliament or your union. You have a good reputation for doing stuff - a reputation that you don't want to lose. But right now, you are feeling overwhelmed with demands, and everybody thinks you are going to be there 100 percent for them. Any ideas how to diplomatically dampen expectations a bit without losing support?

Oh, no way. I'm reopening this one and closing mine. This one's way better!
