Ooopsies!!

quote:
(Edinburgh) A Member of the Scottish Parliament has been caught by a security camera having gay sex with an aide on the grounds of the Parliament Building in Edinburgh.

The MSP has not been named, but The Scotsman newspaper reports that he may face charges for "lewd and libidinous behavior."

The paper says that a security camera on the grounds of Holyrood Palace, the seat of the Scottish Parliament, caught the aide performing oral sex his boss in a late night tryst.

The paper also says that the MSP is not out and is in a heterosexual relationship. It says that he has been a member for several years.

Police and parliamentary officials are refusing to comment.

This is ridiculous.

First, Holyrood is not the site of the Scottish Parliament. It is the royal palace.

Now, that may be a small confusion -- but "lewd and libidinous" behaviour? Quoi quoi quoi? I cannot believe that the Edinburgh police would prosecute such a thing.

And if they do, they are silly wee men. *grr*

Hate to be pedantic, but the new Scottish Parliament is in fact called Holyrood.
Just cause some English wanks stole the name, doesn't give them ownership.
We'll I guess maybe it does sort of, but not morally, no never morally.

Holyrood Palace, which is what the story names, is an ancient palace at the end of Edinburgh High Street, and it is definitely a different place from the new Scottish Parliament.

The dreaded Sassenachs had nothing to do with naming it Holyrood.

Well, the fact that he'd rather gamble his career and relationship than spend $20 for a seedy motel room doesn't exactly shatter any stereotypes of the Scots.

I suppose whether this is a case of an individual freely exercising his sexuality without feeling bound by social conventions, or a lascivious sexual predator preying on his employee and desecrating a national landmark is going to depend on whether he's left or right.

Well depending on the camera angle you should be able to tell whether he's left or right from the tape.
