First the mayor of Jerusalem says he's agin' it...

quote:
The new mayor of Jerusalem has vowed to stop next summer’s World Pride event from coming to the Israeli city. Jerusalem has been holding local pride parades since 2002, little festivals the mayor calls “ugly, insulting, offensive and provocative.”

... and then he says he ain't agin' it...

quote:
We told you yesterday about reports that the mayor of Jerusalem is trying to block the World Pride Event from coming to that Israeli city; now mayor Uri Lupolianski is emphatically saying, “Am not!” It should be noted that the mayor doesn’t actually have the power to directly ban the event, even if he wanted to.
