The University of Alberta Pandas volleyball players are willing to make their point about the female body. Even if it costs them a point every time they do it.

The team is flouting new rules established for Canada West university volleyball that forbid them from changing from warm-up T-shirts into game uniforms at courtside. Doing so leaves them momentarily exposed in their sports bras.

"Maybe it makes people uncomfortable -- maybe it does in our own gym as well. I don't know," said 22-year-old Panda Janna Konihowski. "But we aren't ashamed of our bodies. Should we be? Should we be hiding in the corner?"

"It goes beyond feminism".

All 3 of my daughters played volleyball from grade 8 to about grade 10 with one still playing. High school kids from 8 to 12 regularly peel off their warmups and put on their playing jerseys before the game, in the gym and in front of the parents and fans.
If the university level adminstration is uncomfortable with this they should get together with the high school sport organisations to change things( if they need to be changed which is debatable),otherwise they might as well be spitting into the wind.

Oh, for God's sake.

I don't mean you, faith or audra. I just can't believe that this nonsense continues.

For a few seconds, people can view ... a sports bra? The horror! The horror!

Or glimpse a bit of buttock?

Why do people continue to spit in the wind, do you think, faith?

Interesting. My high school that I used to attend did not allow any type of changing on the sidelines.

Let these Alberta girls do what they want. It's better for my university anyways.
