Humboldt, Sask. -- A doctor who is quitting her job at a Saskatchewan hospital over restrictions on a contraceptive procedure says human rights must prevail over religious beliefs.Dr. Carrie Levick told a rally in Humboldt that it was tough for her and another doctor to resign this week over St. Elizabeth's Hospital's policy against elective tubal-ligation surgery. She was applauded and cheered by about 300 people in the small community east of Saskatoon. The hospital, which is owned by the Saskatchewan Catholic Health Corp., is run by Roman Catholic bishops and nuns, but receives millions of dollars in public funding. - CP
