I am a recent graduate with a double degree and have been looking for a non-corporate job for the past three months both with the Federal Government and non-profit organisations. It takes time, let me tell you!

If anyone knowns of anyone anywhere who is looking to hire a young, bodacious, eager and freshminded person, post em here!

Thank you for your help.

Hrm. Are there any post-degree internships with the government, Sine?

I assume you've tried here.

If you're willing to consider a Provincial government and to consider a move, Ontario's job site is here. Unlike Alberta, they don't have a hiring freeze in place.

Charity Village is the only big website for non-profit jobs that I know of. There are a few others - the Human Rights Job Board is international, but has some Canadian postings. Idealist.org sometimes has some interesting jobs.

Thank you for your postings, I am sure many people will appreciate the tips.

It is tough to say exactly what I am looking for but I would probabaly have to say something with strategy. I like doing research, planning and organising. That covers alot though.

Really I just want the old " I need experience, and I would like to put some of my skills to use"

Maybe something will come up soon.

Thanks again

I assume you've searched here: http://jobs.gc.ca/home_e.htm

And here: http://www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/common/work.shtml

And here: http://www.monster.ca

And here: http://www.workopolis.com/index.html

And here: http://www.careerclick.com/generic/home.jsp

And you've enquired with recruitment/temp agencies? I've landed all my jobs in the past few years through temp agencies, and they've all been government/not-for-profit.
