Borat's unwitting 'costar' speaks out
BOSTON: Manning the front desk in the posh Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, David Davis was stunned and furious when he was ambushed by the misogynistic, anti-Semitic fictional Kazakh TV journalist Borat Sagdiyev.

I think what this man did to people is shameful, and I certainly hope it is illegal. Apparently the Kazakhstan website is getting a lot of hits, I am sure, like me, telling them to sue the prick!

I think the folks that ended up looking like assholes for making racist comments deserve what they got. One of the lessons that comes out of this genre, is that a lot of people will say very inappropriate things if they think they can get away with it.

I do think the Roma have a solid case though. And as much as Borat is, for some, a chilling expose of Americans (and lets be fair, Brits too, because that is where the show originated), there are a lot of people who enjoy it BECAUSE its racist/offensive (they don't get that Kazakhstan is not the way it is portrayed in the movie). Based on the answers to the intro to international relations midterms I'm grading (down in the "U. S. and A") that wouldn't surprise me.

Yes, this poor-quality spoof gathered a shitload of money, did it not?

Honestly,im tired of hearing about this crap.
And tired of good-natured English-speaking liberals telling me that there is no racism whatsoever in this movie.
This was discussed on this thread before it was closed for thread drift.
Borat opens at TIFF
BTW, I noticed a lot of righties loved the movie. They think its anti-PC. Which I suppose, it is.

that's pretty much what I meant in my last sentence.
BTW did you find a lot of people who totally didnt get the motive behind Borat's jokes?
