We have our political differences in Canada, but it could be far worse than it is.

I think what this means is that the McCain campaign is fearfull that their base is not going to show up on election day-- or knock on doors for them, etc.

With a few weeks to go in the campaign, it's a bad sign if you are trying to motivate your base.

I came across this today, with three different public/political ads attacking Palin/McCain for their positions on abortion.

And here, a Daily Kos user describes the situation in North Ireland, which he predicts would happen in the States (or anywhere, I'd expect) if you were to introduce a legal system of -some- allowable circumstances for abortion* in a nation governed by religious hypocracy:

* ie. Palin's position that abortion is permissible only if the pregnant woman's life is in danger. What she thinks qualifies as danger, though...?

Q: Is an abortion clinic bomber a terrorist, under this definition, governor?

PALIN: (Sigh). There’s no question that Bill Ayers via his own admittance was one who sought to destroy our U.S. Capitol and our Pentagon. That is a domestic terrorist. There’s no question there. Now, others who would want to engage in harming innocent Americans or facilities that uh, it would be unacceptable. I don’t know if you’re going to use the word terrorist there.

What a loon!
