Enron Traders caught on tape:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/06/01/eveningnews/main620626.shtml

quote:
"They're f------g taking all the money back from you guys?" complains an Enron employee on the tapes. "All the money you guys stole from those poor grandmothers in California?"

"Yeah, grandma Millie, man"

"Yeah, now she wants her f------g money back for all the power you've charged right up, jammed right up her a------ for f------g $250 a megawatt hour."

And the tapes appear to link top Enron officials Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling to schemes that fueled the crisis.

The only hope that these sleaze bags will ever do any time ,IMHO , is with a change of administrations in Washington. They are just too well connected to be in any kind of danger.
Perhaps if Bush gets desperate enough he will sacrifice someone but I doubt it.

The whole reason this happened has been because any chance they get, rich people and large multinational corporations are trying to create speculative markets in anything from electricity to RAM to carbon emissions.

This paper-economization of real goods and services is benefitting no-one except the likes of Ken Lay.

The paper economy is harming the real economy.

Many babblers would not be convinced that a change of administrations would help in this case.

Actually some babblers would suggest that not changing the administration would be the best thing to happen, thus bringing down the evil empire as quickly as possible rather than putting a "pretty face" on the same old monsters.
