I have mixed feelings on pawn shops. On the one hand, it's environmentally responsible to see if you can buy second-hand before you buy new; on the other hand, they often take unfair advantage of the poor.

Thoughts?

In my experience, pawn shops do not have great deals. I prefer to shop at thrift shops.

As for my feelings on the morality of pawn shops:

I don't much like the pawn shop owner type, but noboby is forcing the poor to pawn their belongings.

My beef with pawn shops is many are full of stolen items. Indeed, there are many nicer places to get good deals.
