"Lets"

I don't have an opinion on this one. It sounds like fun.

There is one in victoria, I mean to join every year but never get round to it. It might be a nice way to meet local people and probably helps live sustainable lives and devellop local links to people. the vic group has pot luck thingys every couple of months too.
and I read the comments in thetyee. Lets are all over the world so many of the comments do not have too much merit. about 3 groups in victoria australia, for instance!

Mrs. M. joined LETS back when we lived in Hamilton, and stayed on for a while when we moved to Toronto. Good idea, but in the end it turns out that there's not as much to trade for as you might hope, nor as much you can trade as you hope. Good for services ("Will trade babysitting for lawn cutting") but if you don't have a pressing need for tax preparation, massage therapy, dog walking or homemade jam, it's not likely to get you living off the grid.
