Ugh. Putting aside the moral repugnance of this move, I doubt it would even do that much to shift voter preferences amongst Muslims. One more reason to tell New Labour to go to hell. I bet they figure gays will vote for them anyway, though.

Of course. Just like gays are "naturally" going to vote for the Democrats... aren't they???

Actually don't a lot of gays in the UK vote for the Liberal Democrats? I think its been a bit of a cliche that the Liberals in the UK have been the "gay party" since the days of Jeremy Thorpe and co.

Seems to me that this is a question of separation of church and state. Seems all europe are scared more of the muslims though.
