After Cueball's reply I did a quick google lookup on the site and the author and, well ... puke!

So, I have removed it.

Well, Rense is never my favourite source for ideas, and besides the occasional foray into things vaguely anti-semitic, their tendency is to believe that the "shadowy overlords" are way more competent and co-ordinated than they actually are. My personal feeling is that the next presidency will be one marked by increased entropy, not co-ordinated policy, and that other than trying to plug a few leaks here and there, no major shifts will take place, at least not ones that are so clearly composed and controlled, and that the most likely outcome, if unsuccessful is that the whole friggin edifice of US power politics is going to fly apart very rapidly and possibly catastrophically.

There is a great danger here, to be sure, but the idea that someone, or some people, are going to largely in control of shaping the outcome seems dubious to me.

I am imagining a very large and belligerent headless chicken.

Hyperinflation in the USA? Was that just a typo in the article? Inflation is not out of control in the USA.

That would depend on who you ask.

If you actually think inflation is out of control in the US, I will loan you $1000.00 at a mere 20% interest rate! For whatever time you need to show the predictive power of your ideology.

You will make a killing---if you are right.

I'm taking side bets, too. Anyone wanna bet that he'd rather get it from the US bank at 4%?

Cueball: I am imagining a very large and belligerent headless chicken.

At one time Ben Franklin advocated another bird as the US national symbol. I picture a microcephalic turkey, with a chest so oversized that it's "not able to fertilize the eggs of the female in the natural mating position",
(as is literally true with domestic male turkeys) gobbling loudly and strutting around absolutely full of himself. Having been "bred into a condition of profound stupidity", there's really only one fate that is appropriate.

BLAM! And then he's dinner.

If you confuse interests rates with inflation rates that might explain the failure of your ideology. What is your ideology, Jeff? Why don't we explore that?

Do you have one? I don't think you do. I think you are a little embittered at your own failure to produce any change in the world. But that is my opinion. Perhaps you could enlighten us as to what you truly believe as a middle-aged curmudgeon?

Where do you see that? I was being kind I thought.

Jeff seems obsessed with my political beliefs and I think the problem is that I have political beliefs. I think if we could get into the open his political beliefs, or lack thereof, we could discover the source of his obsession and possibly address it. I am only trying to be helpful.

And a darn good one, too. Thank you for your good natured levity in this matter.
