The Guardian a while ago published a piece detailing how the settlements have actually expanded at a terrific pace. Basically, the Israeli government has been lying and stalling the rest of the world. They are not interested in peace. They are interested in Palestinian land. If they can have Palestinian land AND peace, then all the better. Who wouldn't like that?
