We had a lot of debate about the accuracy of on-line as opposed to telephone surveys. Well guess what? Angus Reid did their final poll on-line, while Leger and CROP and Strategic Counsel did all theirs by phone and guess who was the most accurate? The on-line poll by Angus Reid. All the others underestimated the ADQ by quite a bit.

I am not saying that on-line polling is infallible, but before people try to dismiss any poll done on-line - it is worth noting that there is no evidence that this method is any less accurate and in fact, it may actually be more so!

Did Angus Reid publish their figures anywhere BEFORE the election?

Election polling is historically unreliable in Quebec.

I don't think its any more unreliable in Quebec than anywhere else. in 2003, most of the final polls were dead-on. The polls were reasonably close this time too, though CROP and Leger underestimated the ADQ by a few points. Its hard to know if they were "off" or whether the ADQ gained ground in the final weekend as a result of negative reaction to Charest's tax cut pledge.

Um, yeah. Hiding in plain view on the sidebar listing of news releases at Stockholm's link.
