A Cypriot plane carrying 115 passengers and six crew crashed into a hill north of Athens on Sunday, killing all onboard in what was the worst airline disaster in Greek history.

Apparently caused by loss of oxygen, or loss of cabin pressure, or perhaps both.
With any luck, most of those aboard were already unconcious when it crashed.

This message which was reported above:
quote: ..."The pilot has turned blue," a passenger said in a text message to his cousin. "Cousin farewell, we're freezing."...
is said to have been a hoax; and a man has been arrested. BBC report here. Most of the people on the plane were Cypriots.
Edited to get rid of a "not" in the wrong place.

According to reports there were some folks alive as the plane went down. Hard to believe the pilots were 'blue' and there was still people alive.
However, if there were folks alive, I can't imagine what their thoughts were.
Nothing I could say seems adequate...

Alive and conscious are two different matters. Hopefully they had already passed out and their passing was relatively harmless.

Quite right. I guess I unconsciously equated consciousness with being alive. As you, I hope they were unconcious of their doom.
