If those who fight for justice are truly blessed, then Angela Bonavoglia must be nearing sainthood. In [her book] "Good Catholic Girls," she tells her own charged story and that of other faithful women who seek equality and reform from within the Catholic Church.

Interesting, but women fighting for the right to become ordained Catholic priests seems to me a bit like blacks fighting for the right to be slave owners.

Do you suspect, then, that ordained female Catholic priests will immediately turn around and condemn the idea of ordaining women to be priests?

Dunno. It just seemed to me that, given the Catholic Church's track record re: women, that women might be more empowered by getting the hell out of there than they would be by fighting for the right to embed themselves even deeper.

Perhaps a better analogy might have been a black man trying to become Grand Dragon of the KKK.

i would like to bring up the whole gangster pimp rap vein of hip hop that was in style a couple years ago. and i truly thank all the new groups and artists coming out who do not glorify the pimp (= "slave" master. <-- though that is debatable.. but what isnt?))
