I bought some veggys today at a market and saw some guys I hadnt seen for years.
The veggy farmers have to have another job. One does irigation. He says that the income disparity in canada is now so huge that all that holds the country together is the building boom.
The ordinary person can top up their income with building work or contracting now and it also means that the factorys face some competition for labour units.
But when the boom ends, slightly higher unemployment will drive factory wages right down.
How saturated is the realty market?
I work in construction and often see 5000 sq ft homes being built for 4 to 6 person familys.
What is the average and median square feet dwelling in which people live in canada?
what happens when the boom ends?
Scarey thought!

I suspect the medium-term prospects for real estate are pretty good, as the echo boomer bulge will, within five to ten years, start their own families and buy up their own large homes. Meanwhile, boomers won't be glutting the market by selling their homes because they will feel entitled to all that space, as boomers are a generation of entitlement after all.
