I blame the feminism and dissolution of the traditional nuclear family. Almost all of these men grew up with only one parent. It's a shame. We need to bring the Bible back to the Anishnawbe.

Forcing Innuit into residential schools and into little communities of plywood shacks created a culture of despair.
Rather than a nomadic lifestyle with its own heirarchy,the people ended up on some windswpt shingle beach because it was convenient for the authorities.Hundreds of miles from their hunting and trapping areas.In winter,the people have to follow the open leads in the ice in order to hunt.By denying them access to their traditional lifestyle,forcing the children to give up their language and speak only english, the forced assimilation created a society dependent on government for the means to buy milk FOR $5/liter, buy gas and heating oil and have access to all the junk food available at the local store.Nothing to do but wait for the next welfare cheque.
