Does anyone know anything about these? I think stuff has to have a packaging date and a best before date on it??? Doesn't it???
The reason I want to know is I'm having a disagreement with a local store. I got htis feta cheese and it was like slimey. Anyhow I took it back and the guy was pretty nasty about it, and asked me what I wanted him to do about it. Well, for starters I want my money back.
And he was even snottier when I asked why it didn't have an expiration or packaging date??
If things are supppose to have themand odn't is there a place to report this transgression?

Since I buy all my cheese at a local cheese shop (Cheese Magic, highly recommended) by the piece, it never comes with expiration date. I suspect the store gave you a hard time, because after the cheese leaves their store, they have no control over how you stored it. Feta is a moist cheese and I suspect it requires proper refrigeration. I've never seen it go 'slimy'. How long after you purchased it did it go bad?
