I like how it starts out: "Canada's Government giveaways are even written into the country's constitution", and citing a mention of "equalization payments". If only I could personally pose as an underpriviledged province.Apparently this fancy Canadian "Canadian Royalty Checks" program is actually "income trusts", the subject of some current controversy. It is amusing how they equate this with social programs. [Well it IS just like a social program, except that the recipients are wealthy investors, and the money is siphoned off from companies, instead of from tax revenues.] Here's Globe and Mail business article about the letter, and income trusts.
